Strategic Partnerships Manager

 
 

MobilizeAmerica is building the largest network of progressive organizations, organizers, and activists, around a powerful platform for volunteer recruitment.

We’re bringing on 1-2 Strategic Partnerships Managers to help fuel the next stage of growth. In 2018, more than 1,000 campaigns and organizations used our product to recruit nearly 1 million volunteer shifts and attempt to contact ~40 million voters. We are well positioned as core infrastructure for progressive and Democratic campaigns and organizations heading into 2019 and the 2020 general election.

You will: Build and manage relationships from prospect to close with clients of all types (campaigns, c3’s, c4’s, labor unions and SuperPACs), specifically:

  • Identifying high priority targets for partnership

  • Attend key industry meetings, conferences, and social gatherings

  • Conduct demos for prospects, both inbound leads as well as prospected organizations

  • Lead scoping conversations with senior client stakeholders -- deeply understanding their technical requirements

  • Scope complex deals in conjunction with product/engineering

  • Effectively manage your pipeline, including outreach goals, proposal development, and quota attainment

  • Drive adoption of new products by existing clients

  • Manage renewals with clients


Who you are:

  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally related to sales, business development, digital marketing, digital organizing and/or field organizing

  • You ask questions first and are not afraid to set clear expectations and overdeliver

  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills

  • You understand software development and have a strong orientation to technical and analytical content

  • You can be a translator of product needs to our technical team and can clearly explain product features to a non-technical audience

  • You have experience working with labor unions, state-based or national 501c3’s or 501c4s, political campaigns, &/or SuperPACs.

  • You are comfortable leading a conversation with senior client stakeholders, understanding their needs and reflecting those needs in proposals and contracts


This position is based in New York City or Washington DC.
